Thailand’s principal equity venue, with index weight in energy, banking and infrastructure. Non-resident holders frequently sit in the NVDR (Non-Voting Depository Receipt) structure, a recurring consideration when a foreign position is pledged.

On SET, a block is crossed on the Big Lot Board away from the continuous order book, with the trade reported into the exchange’s system rather than shown as it prints. The largest, most liquid SET50 and SET100 names — energy, banking, telecoms — absorb size most readily; mai and thin lines are worked more carefully. Where the seller is foreign, whether the stock moves as ordinary shares, foreign-board (F) shares or NVDRs affects both the achievable price and the reporting, and settlement runs T+2.

03 · Eligibility
For Institutional Positions

What qualifies on SET.

SET is an established but selective venue; we weigh eligibility against the stock’s liquidity, free float, and how concentrated the holding is.

For any given SET position, our review looks at: free float and daily traded volume against the size of the transaction; your status (controlling shareholder, director, substantial shareholder) and the disclosure that follows; the issuer’s sector and listing segment; and what the transaction must do (LTV, tenor, currency, recourse, custody).

04 · Disclosure
SEC (Thai)

Framework cited on SET.

The principal regulatory reference on SET is SEC Notification TorJor. 7/2552. How it applies to any single transaction — reporting levels, step thresholds — turns on the underlying rules and national-law overlays, which we map against your contemplated transaction at the structuring stage alongside the counsel you appoint.

The citations above are public regulatory references, given for orientation only and not as legal advice. Take independent legal advice in the relevant jurisdiction for any specific transaction.

05 · FAQ
SET · Block Trades

What holders ask about SET.

01How is a block trade executed on the SET?
Through the Big Lot Board: the line is negotiated off the order book at an agreed price and the details are reported into the exchange’s trading system, so the print does not walk the visible screen. Black Haven can take the line onto its own book for a clean, priced exit, with any 5% substantial-shareholder report managed around the trade.
02How is a block printed on SET?
The block is negotiated off the order book and then reported to Stock Exchange of Thailand under its rules. The structure preserves discretion until the print.
03Which SET segments do you handle?
All principal segments Stock Exchange of Thailand runs: SET Main Board; mai (Market for Alternative Investment). The more liquid tiers are simpler to execute.
04Does large-holding disclosure apply?
Depending on the size and the seller’s standing, yes — under SEC Notification TorJor. 7/2552. We manage the timing and wording.
05What is the substantial-holding threshold on SET?
The principal level is 5%, under SEC Notification TorJor. 7/2552. A crossing by a significant holder is notifiable; we manage the timing and wording around the print.
06How does a SET block settle?
The block is reported to Stock Exchange of Thailand under its rules and then settles on the standard T+2 cycle. We coordinate the print, settlement and any financing.
07Can you handle a block for an offshore seller on SET?
Yes. The line is held with a qualified custodian and printed to Stock Exchange of Thailand; we manage cross-border custody, settlement and disclosure.
