Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange is the principal cash-equity venue of Vietnam. Vietnam’s principal equity venue and a fast-growing frontier market, with higher single-stock volatility and tighter foreign-ownership caps than developed-market peers. Eligibility for an institutional pledge is correspondingly more selective.

On HOSE, blocks cross through the put-through segment, where a securities firm records a price and size the two sides have agreed away from the matching book. Negotiated orders run from 20,000 shares and, in normal sessions, price within the daily band around the reference price. Turnover concentrates heavily in the VN30, so a block in a name outside that set is priced for thinner depth. Any foreign-ownership limit caps how much a foreign buyer can absorb, and a transfer that moves a 5% interest is reportable to the SSC.

03 · Eligibility
For Institutional Positions

What qualifies on HOSE.

HOSE is a growth market whose single-stock volatility, free-float distribution and (in places) foreign-ownership limits weigh heavily on eligibility.

For any given HOSE position, our review looks at: free float and daily traded volume against the size of the transaction; your status (controlling shareholder, director, substantial shareholder) and the disclosure that follows; the issuer’s sector and listing segment; and what the transaction must do (LTV, tenor, currency, recourse, custody).

04 · Disclosure
SSC

Framework cited on HOSE.

The principal regulatory reference on HOSE is Law on Securities Art. 118. How it applies to any single transaction — reporting levels, step thresholds — turns on the underlying rules and national-law overlays, which we map against your contemplated transaction at the structuring stage alongside the counsel you appoint.

The citations above are public regulatory references, given for orientation only and not as legal advice. Take independent legal advice in the relevant jurisdiction for any specific transaction.

05 · FAQ
HOSE · Block Trades

What holders ask about HOSE.

01How is a block trade executed on HOSE?
Through the put-through (negotiated) segment. Buyer and seller agree price and volume directly — from 20,000 shares upward, within the daily price band in ordinary sessions — and a securities firm records the deal in the exchange system, settling T+2 through the national depository. Black Haven can stand as principal on the line, and where a major-shareholding or foreign-ownership limit is engaged, that is sequenced around the print.
02How is a block printed on HOSE?
The block is negotiated off the order book and then reported to Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange under its rules. The structure preserves discretion until the print.
03Which HOSE segments do you handle?
All principal segments Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange runs: Main Board (HOSE); HNX (Hanoi Stock Exchange - separate venue, smaller capitalisations). The more liquid tiers are simpler to execute.
04Does large-holding disclosure apply?
Depending on the size and the seller’s standing, yes — under Law on Securities Art. 118. We manage the timing and wording.
05What is the substantial-holding threshold on HOSE?
The principal level is 5%, under Law on Securities Art. 118. A crossing by a significant holder is notifiable; we manage the timing and wording around the print.
06How does a HOSE block settle?
The block is reported to Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange under its rules and then settles on the standard T+2 cycle. We coordinate the print, settlement and any financing.
07Can you handle a block for an offshore seller on HOSE?
Yes. The line is held with a qualified custodian and printed to Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange; we manage cross-border custody, settlement and disclosure.
